How the call from Santa works

1

Name

Just your child's first name. Add their age, something they did this year or their wish if you like.

2

Details (optional)

Choose when the call comes in — now, or in a minute so you can hand over the phone.

3

Ring

Santa says their name, finds them on the Nice List, asks what they would like for Christmas and pauses while they answer.

It is the Santa phone call moment without dialing a number: no hotline, no app and no phone number to share. Everything happens on this page, on the same phone or tablet you hand to your child. The call lasts under a minute and the audio is deleted after a day.

Does Santa really listen?

Santa doesn't understand the answer — this is a recorded AI voice, not a live conversation. What he does is wait. If you allow the microphone, this phone notices when your child starts and stops talking, so Santa doesn't talk over them. The sound never leaves the phone: nothing is recorded, saved or sent to us. Without the microphone, Santa simply pauses for a few seconds after his question.

Tips for the best Santa call

  • Turn the volume up and close other noisy apps first.
  • Choose "in 30 s" or "in 1 min", then keep the screen on and put the phone nearby.
  • Stay close by. Younger kids sometimes need a grown-up whisper: "Tell Santa what you'd like!"
  • After the call, ask them what Santa said — then make a Santa voice message they can listen to again.

Santa's phone number and other ways to call Santa

There is no single official Santa phone number, but a few free options are well known:

  • FreeConferenceCall Santa hotline: +1 605-313-4000. Kids leave Santa a voice message; you get a text so you can replay it.
  • NORAD Tracks Santa: 1-877-HI-NORAD (1-877-446-6723), answered on Christmas Eve, for questions about where Santa is right now.
  • This page: a call where Santa says your child's name; first message or call free, then 4 credits — no number to dial, no app.

Credits come in one-time packs on the pricing page, and the same credits make a personalized Santa video.

Your child's details stay private

For parents and guardians. No child photos or phone number. Nothing is recorded; microphone audio stays on this phone. Call audio and details are deleted after a day. See our Privacy Policy.

Call from Santa questions

Is the call from Santa free?

Your first Santa voice message or call is free, with no sign-up. They share one free message; after that, sign in and use 4 credits for each call or message.

How much is a call from Santa after the free one?

4 credits, which works out at about $3.04 to $3.96 a call depending on the pack. Credits come in one-time packs ($9.90 for 10, $22.99 for 30, $37.99 for 50 credits) with no subscription. They never expire and also work for Santa videos, which use 10 credits.

Do I need to install an app?

No. It works in the browser on iPhone, Android and computers. Keep the page open until the call ends.

Is it a real phone call?

No. The call happens on this web page: the screen shows Santa calling and plays a ringtone, and your child taps to answer. It does not dial your phone number, and it is not a Santa video call: for a video, make a personalized Santa video.

Can I schedule the call for Christmas Eve?

Not for a later date. You choose whether Santa calls now, in 10 or 30 seconds, or in 1 minute, which gives you time to hand over the phone or hide it under the tree. Open the page on Christmas Eve when you are ready.

What age is a call from Santa best for?

Children from about 3 to 8 enjoy it most: old enough to answer Santa's question, young enough for a ringing phone to feel like magic. Stay close to toddlers and hold the phone with them.

What language does Santa speak on the call?

English, in a warm, deep, unhurried Santa voice. Your child's name can come from any language: if Santa says it wrong, type it the way it sounds.

Is my child's voice recorded?

No. The microphone is optional and is only used on your phone to tell when your child has finished talking. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.

Is this the real Santa?

It is an AI Santa voice. We tell you plainly so you can decide how to present it.

What does Santa say?

He says hello, finds your child on the Nice List, mentions the thing you are proud of if you added one, asks what they would like for Christmas and says goodbye. Santa never promises a particular gift.

Can I keep the call?

The call audio is deleted after a day. For a keepsake, make a Santa voice message to download (first message or call free, then 4 credits each), or a personalized Santa video.

What if the call does not work?

If Santa's call can't be made, your free call or the credits come back automatically, and you can try again. Unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase; see the Refund Policy.
