What Santa says in 60 seconds

A message from Santa works best when it sounds like he really knows your child. Ours has three short parts, written from the details you type:

  1. Hello and the Nice List. Santa greets your child by name, mentions their age and tells them they are on the Nice List.
  2. The thing you are proud of. Santa talks about the one thing you wrote — sharing toys, learning to read, being brave at the dentist — in his own words.
  3. A goodbye from the North Pole. A word about the elves, a gentle reminder to keep being kind, and "Merry Christmas" with their name.

You can read and edit every word before Santa records it. If Santa says the name wrong, spell it the way it sounds (for example, "Aoife" as "Ee-fa") and listen again.

How to play it so it feels like Santa called

  • As a surprise call: start the message on your phone, hand it to your child and say, "Someone from the North Pole is on the line."
  • At bedtime on Christmas Eve: play it right before lights out, when kids are already listening for sleigh bells.
  • For family far away: send the share link to grandparents so they can hear it too.

Want the phone to actually ring? Try a call from Santa — Santa asks your child a question and waits for the answer.

Santa voice message questions

Is the Santa voice message really free?

Your first Santa voice message or call is free, with no sign-up. They share that one free message; after that, sign in and use 4 credits for each message or call. The first-line preview remains free.

How much is a Santa message after the free one?

4 credits, which works out at about $3.04 to $3.96 a message depending on the pack. Credits come in one-time packs ($9.90 for 10, $22.99 for 30, $37.99 for 50 credits) with no subscription. They never expire and also work for Santa videos, which use 10 credits.

Will Santa say my child's name right?

Most names come out right the first time. If not, choose "No" under the preview and spell the name the way it sounds — "Siobhan" as "Shi-vawn", for example. Only the pronunciation changes; the spelling elsewhere stays the same. You can fix the name once.

How long is the message from Santa?

Usually 45 to 60 seconds: long enough for the name, the Nice List and the personal part, short enough to hold a young child's attention.

How long does it take to make the message?

The first-line preview usually plays within seconds and the full message within a minute or two. At busy times it can take a few minutes, so keep the page open. If it can't be made, your free message or the credits come back automatically.

Can I download it or send it as a voicemail?

You can download the audio file and keep it, or copy a private share link that works for 30 days. Many parents play it from a second phone so it feels like a real call.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in the browser on iPhone, Android or a computer, with no app. The download is a WAV audio file: on an iPhone it saves to Files, and you can also send it in a chat or play it from a second phone.

What language does Santa speak?

English, in a warm, deep, unhurried Santa voice. Your child's name can come from any language: if Santa says it wrong, type it the way it sounds.

What age is a Santa voice message for?

It suits children from about 3 to 9. Little ones love hearing their own name; older kids who are starting to wonder usually enjoy the details only Santa would know. You read every word before it is recorded, so you decide what fits your child.

Is this the real Santa?

It is an AI Santa voice reading a script made from the details you typed. We say so plainly so you can decide how to present it to your child.

What is Santa's phone number?

There is no single official number. FreeConferenceCall runs a free Santa hotline at +1 605-313-4000 where kids can leave Santa a message, and NORAD Tracks Santa answers calls about where Santa is on Christmas Eve at 1-877-HI-NORAD (1-877-446-6723). If you want Santa to say your child's name, try our call from Santa: the first message or call is free, then 4 credits each.

Do you keep my child's details?

Only for 30 days, and only to deliver this message. After that the name, details and audio are deleted.

Can I make a video instead?

Yes — the personalized Santa video uses the same details, so you do not have to type them again. It uses 10 credits.
